As members of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we are encouraged to hold what we call "Family Home Evening"
every Monday night. Family Home Evening is time set apart to spend with
family. It is a time where we strengthen our family relationships,
teach each other, strengthen our testimonies of Christ and his
teachings, strengthen our talents, and just enjoy being a family. The
general layout for FHE (Family Home Evening) is an opening song , prayer, reading a scripture,
a short lesson and activity, a closing prayer, and a goodie to munch
on. You don't have to follow that outline. How you choose to run your
family night is up to you and your family. The important thing is FAMILY
being together, loving each other, and creating memories. As members of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we believe that the
family is central to God's plan for us. We believe that we can be with
our family after we die. Families are important!!!
In
"Home On The Range", I will be sharing ideas on how to have a family
night when there are only two of you in your family. It is often quite
challenging to come up with ideas for lessons and activities when you
don't have children to participate.
If any of you have ideas that you'd like to share, please email me at redhairedgalonacow@gmail.com
