Dear world: I'm not calling.... I'm coming!!!!!

So I've FINALLY finished my job doing telephone surveys! That's right people! I will no longer be bothering all of you across the country with my continous calling and interruptions during mealtime, during kids' bathtimes and bedtimes, when you get home after a long, tiring day at work, and when you have company. I will no longer have to have my eardrums blasted by screaming answering machines, screaming children, and angry screaming women in their forties (or 30's, or 50's, or 80's). I will no longer be able to turn down those unfortunate individuals who will be taking my place when they call to see if I "could answers some questions at this time." Being a phone surveyor has made me realize that we should always be polite, even if that person called you during your dinner time (Just take your phone off the hook during dinner time if you don't want calls..... phone surveyors are not the only people who call during dinner time). Just because you had a bad day doesn't mean you should yell at the person calling. It's not their fault they called. If you can't take the survey still be nice, but straight forward. If you are vague ("now's not a good time" or "not this time") they will probably call you back. The comeback "how about you give me your number and I call you back during your dinner time" is not original people. Being on The National Do Not Call List doesn't prevent phone surveyors from calling you because that list only applies to sales calls. Above all..... DON'T be angry and rude to the surveyor, it's not their fault you were randomly dialed to take a survey. Also.... DON'T just start pushing buttons on your phone.... it really hurts the ears of the person on the other line.

Now that I'm done with phone surveys I'm preparing for the upcoming school year. I will be teaching theatre and art classes at a charter high school. This is my first teaching job and...... I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!! I will be spending the month of July creating lesson plans, packing and cleaning the apartment, spending time with family and friends, and the moving after my hubby graduates. So excited about July! THEN in August we are going on a raod trip to the coast before I start my teaching job. Life is exciting!!!!
