TANGLED, FERRETS, AND LETTERS... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Today was a great day. Hubby and I spent the morning at the LDS Temple. Being able to there is like stepping into heaven for a few hours. You can't help but feel the Heavenly Father loves you while you are there. Concerns seems less burdensome and joy is easier felt. It is definitely my favorite place on earth.

We also went and watched Tangled with our friends A and J. It was such a fun movie!!!! I highly recommend it! It is definitely on my birthday wish list. It was very funny, had some fun songs, and well put together. If you like animated films then go see Tangled.

After the movie, we went to the home of A and J. They run an exotic animal rescue shelter in their home. They have all kinds of lizards, several snakes (one is a six foot boa constrictor!), parakeets, parrots, sugar gliders, gerbils, ferrets, a chicken, and a chinchilla. The chinchilla was so soft!!!! And it was way to fun to watch it take a dust bath. The ferrets, although naturally smelly, were my favorite to play with. There are four all together, but one is scared of the others so we had to get him out separately. The remaining three J let out to play all at once. It was so fun to interact with animals that I wouldn't normally come across. I want to go back again to play with the critters... and of course spend more time with A and J.

Guess what I finally got done!!!! I finally scanned all of my grandma's letters to my grandpa while he was serving in the Navy during WWII. I still have some other letters, cards, and papers to scan that my grandpa saved, but I got the grandma's letters done! The next step is to put them all together in a digital file so each image of the each letter doesn't have to be opened in order to read through all of the letters. I also need to adjust some of the images so that the letters are darker and easier to read.

So I really should be doing some serious job hunting, but I've been struggling with wanting to. I do need a job, and something to do that isn't in the my home all day, but it's been nice to have the extra time. I also need to be studying for my English Praxis that I will be taking mid January. I have to pass it in order to be certified to teach English classes. I've already taken and passed the Praxis exams for Art and for Theatre/Speech. One more, I can do this.

Any, it's 8pm on New Years Eve, and both Hubby and I are tired from our adventure filled day (it started at 5:20 a.m.) so we'll see if we actually make it to midnight. If we do we have Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider to celebrate. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!
