2011 Nuttiest moments in a Nutshell

2011 in a Nutshell:
  • I had my  first and hopefully last call center job.
  • Hubby worked as a photo lab assistant.
  • I got a violin and started learning to play it....somewhat.
  • We went to two teacher job fair in Utah.
  • I had job interviews with schools in Alaska and Utah.
  • I was hired at a new charter high school in Utah.
  • We went on a perfect bug-free overnight camp out in May.
  • Hiked "R" Mountain in the dark.
  • Went to a drive-in movie together for the first time... we took our car to see Cars 2.
  • We were temple workers in the Rexburg, Idaho LDS temple.
  • Hubby went paint balling for the first time. 
  • Went to the last Harry Potter movie....with our Harry Potter Puppets pals that I made.

          I look like I didn't dress up.... I didn't... I made puppets instead :)
  • Graduated from college....both of us.... Whoot!
We didn't plan our color coordinated outfits... it just happened!


Oh the faces you'll see!

  • Rode a tandem bike to our graduation :)

  • Took Hubby's mom and dad to Yellowstone....Hubby's dad's first time!

  • We moved to Utah.
  • Went on a road trip to the west coast and drove along the coast from San Francisco to Washington.

The Great Adventurers!

  • Drove on the craziest road ever.... 16% grade, extremely windy, one lane, lots of trees, and a 55mph speed limit.
  • My first time seeing a light house....both of our first time being in one.


Point Arena Lighthouse

  • Visited the Tillamook Factory....ate a whole carton of Udderly Chocolate Ice-cream...best flavor!
  •  I started my first year teaching.
First day of school....or maybe it was the second. This one is for you Mom!

  • My first time swimming in the Great Salt Lake...."Look Ma! No hands" 

  • My first baseball game....free game and food thanks to Hubby's deal hunting!

  • We both survived my first time directing a high school production!
  • Made it to Winter break!(This is a really big one milestone for a first year teacher...any teacher actually)
  • We've also read lots of books, ate lots of good food, and played lots of games (favorites this year included Wackee Six and Monopoly Deal).
