Where in the world have I been?

So I haven't posted in very long time. It's not because I haven't thought about it, or even wanted to. I've had big plans for posts and new illustrations to go with them. So what happened? Remember the post about me moving? Yeah, well..... I've been super busy! So here is a quick update:

I've started my first year as full time teacher! That's right folks! I'm using that degree I worked so hard to get!

I'm teaching theatre, art, financial literacy/study skills, student government, team teaching debate, and accompanying the school's choir (just as soon as the piano gets tuned)

Did I mention that the high school I'm teaching at is brand new? This means that I'm also creating a theatre program from scratch. AHHHHHHH!!!!!

My new theatre program is already in swing. We just finished our first week of rehearsals! Whoot! The name of the show? The Curious Savage, by John Patrick. It's a great show... check it out sometime!

Did I also mention that I am the assistant debate coach? Friday was our first tournament. My job, though at times dull, was the best job. I got to stay in the area of the cafeteria that our team was staked out in between rounds. I was there to guard the kids things, cheer them up, and cheer them on.

So in short, I've been quite busy. Instead of blogging in my spare time I've been spending time with hubby (we celebrated our two year anniversary at the beginning of them month, and spending time unwinding and trying to relax before I go back to work! I'm busy, I'm happy, I'm a roller coaster of emotions.... I am a first year teacher!
