Hot Fudge Sauce

Week Five= Hot Fudge Sauce

Start to Finish: 15 minutes
Makes: 1 1/2 cups sauce

3/4 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 5-ounce can (2/3 cup) evaporated milk

1. In a small heavy saucepan melt the butter and the chocolate (if you start the buter first you are less likely to burn the chocolate). Add the sugar; gradually stir in the evaporated milk. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat. Boil gently over low hear for 8 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove pan from hear. Cool slightly . Serve warm over ice cream. Cover and chill any leftovers for up to 3 days. To reheat this rich suace in your microwave oven, allow 15-30 seconds on high power.
